The Capability Development Grant from SPRING Singapore works to develop the capabilities of Singapore-based SMEs across ten key development areas that include improving service standards, embracing new technology, revolutionising staff training right through to international expansion.
Small to medium businesses including e-commerce and website solutions can benefit from grants that can cover the cost of consultancy, training, certification and even equipment costs.
The aim of the grant is to boost capabilities within the business sector across Singapore improving product development, market access, and overall productivity.
With the enhancement, product owners can apply for up to 70% of the cost of product design, development and manufacturing when kicking off a new product in small volumes prior to the mass production process.

SPRING Singapore’s focus is to enable enterprise, and the recent announcement of the grant from the Committee of Supply will provide a green light for many SMEs in Singapore looking for the leg up in their new business and expansion projects.
To be eligible, businesses must be registered and operating in Singapore, have at least 30% local shareholding and have a group annual sales turnover of ≤ S$100m or group employment of ≤200 employees.
