ChillyBin and Foxtel’s Channel [V] recently launched [V] Festival Guide microsite & accompanying iPhone application to provide an information portal for the summer music festival scene around Australia all to be run off a centralised WordPress website.
The website for the [V] Festival Guide was built for the Genesis Framework by StudioPress & WordPress Content Management System to allow easy administration and flexibility over all aspects of the website. The design was provided by the team at Channel [V], the website was designed and developed to utilise a very simple layout and structure. We developed the website to push out JSON API feeds through to the iPhone development so that any changes that are made on the website, are then reflected in the iPhone application. The system allows Channel [V] full access to change just about any aspect of the site through the administration modules in a quick and easy system which gives them highly detailed analytics at their fingertips, which in turn feeds through to the iPhone/iOS application.
The iPhone/iOS App for the [V] Festival Guide was built with a very limited timeline in XCode utilising WebView JSON API feeds taken from the WordPress website. The design was provided by the team at Channel [V] and was customised through the development phase. We have a number of updates planned out already and we look forward to picking this project up in the new year and pushing out more features and functionality.
