Our friends at Foxtel are looking to make some modern upgrades to their existing website for their hugely popular History Channel. With the majority of people browsing the internet using mobile devices, it was important to them that their website be mobile ready. Another important change they are looking to make is to focus on a tighter branding for their different History Channel shows. With these necessary upgrades in mind, they reached out to ChillyBin to make it all happen.
After getting a thorough understanding of everything they were looking to do, we quickly got started making the needed changes and upgrades to the website. We kicked things off by implementing a custom Foxtel template that we often use across many of the Foxtel websites we’ve worked on. This template has a responsive web design, that allows the website to be accessible and look great on any mobile device.
Additionally, we created 3 new post types for some of their featured categories like “This Day in History” and “H100”, along with a teacher’s guide that provides easy filtering and sorting of results. Lastly we wanted to focus on tightening up show branding, making it where all the different show elements for each show along with their respective subpages carry over the same branding on the site.
