ChillyBin designed a promotional blog for Delinquents, whose primary goal was marketing new music to media and the public primarily throughout Australia. Based around the Thesis framework for WordPress, the Delinquents site was kept minimal as the primary goal was to highlight content.
The site is designed around the delinquents logo with individual letters bringing up additional content in stylish jQuery ‘lightboxes’. The sites main focus is the blog which is integrated with the Sound Cloud music distribution service for playback and offers downloads to the consumer which are tracked within the database.
Delinquents is an online promotion company that focuses on ‘below the line’ promo to make early adopters (bloggers, DJs, tastemakers) aware of bands, songs, and events before they hit the ground in other arenas. This method means that the ‘right’ people are across the message and gives early adopters a sense of ‘ownership’ over the content/act/event.
